Floating Shelf with sides and metal book retainer. Designed to holding items while keeping them visible, this shelf has a metal bar that spans the front of the piece. This allows for retention with minimal obstruction to a user trying to look for an item. The bar has the added benefit of keeping taller items, like bottles or glasses, from falling. At the same time, items that are less likely to fall, such as phones, watches or other items, are easily accessible under the bar. This shelf could make an excellent wall-mounted nightstand, or another type of storage solution. However, we can change this design to suit you. Our shelves are of the highest quality. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. High quality plywood is only used in drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, and some interior drawer support structure.
Our standard finish is un-stained wood finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful, highly durable and easy to maintain finish that brings out the natural character and unique grain patterns of our hardwoods.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States. These woods have been sustainably harvested for hundreds of years.
